Privacy Policy
You are writing down private things about someone you care for. This page says what we hold, why, who else touches it, and how to get it back or get rid of it.
Effective October 18, 2026
Who we are
Caregiver Planner is operated by Bull Integrated Services Inc. (Massachusetts, United States). We are the party responsible for the information described here. For anything about privacy, write to support@caregiverplans.com.
Caregiver Planner is offered only in the United States, and you must be 18 or older to use it. It is an organization and coordination tool — not a medical provider, and not a service that monitors anyone.
What we collect
Your account
You can start a planner without giving us anything at all. Doing so creates an anonymous account that exists only in your browser session — we hold an internal identifier for it and nothing else, no name and no email address.
If you later save your planner so you can reach it from another device, we store the email address you give us. There is no password to store, because there is none — you sign in with a link sent to that address.
What you write in your planner
Everything in your planner is there because you typed it. That includes details about the person you care for — what you call them, your relationship to them, their living arrangement, pronouns and any notes you add — along with:
- Contacts: names, how they help, phone numbers, email addresses, notes, and whether you marked someone as an emergency contact.
- Tasks, and whether you have marked them done.
- The daily routine you set up, and which parts you tick off.
- Daily notes about how a day went.
- Schedule entries: what is happening, when, who it is with, and what you want to remember about it.
- Essentials — the few things a stand-in would need to know.
- Handovers you write for somebody taking over.
- Expenses: an amount, a category, and who paid.
Some of this may describe someone’s health or care needs, because that is what caregiving involves. We treat it as private information you have entrusted to us, and we do not use it for anything other than running the service for you.
If you buy the printable planner
Payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. What we keep is a record of the transaction: what was bought, the amount, the currency, its status, when it happened, and the identifiers Stripe uses to match it.
Technical information
Our hosting and database providers process ordinary server and request information in the course of serving pages, as any website does.
Why we use it
- To keep your planner and show it back to you.
- To let you sign in, and to let you reach your planner from another device.
- To build the files you ask for — the printable planner, the handover sheet, and your data export.
- To take payment, and to handle refunds, disputes and accounting.
- To answer you when you write to support.
- To keep the service working and secure, and to meet legal obligations.
What we never do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your caregiving information for behavioral advertising. We do not use it to train general-purpose artificial-intelligence models.
There is also no way to share a planner with another person. Caregiver Planner has no sharing or collaboration feature, so your planner is not visible to anyone else through the product.
We do not describe Caregiver Planner as HIPAA-compliant or HIPAA-certified, and you should not rely on it as though it were. We are not a healthcare provider, health plan or healthcare clearinghouse, and we do not act as a business associate of one.
Analytics
Product analytics are switched off. We are not collecting usage analytics at launch, and no analytics provider is receiving information about how you use Caregiver Planner.
If we turn analytics on later, we will update this page and say what is collected before doing so. Caregiving information would not be sent to such a provider.
Who else touches it
We use a small number of service providers to run Caregiver Planner. They process information on our behalf, for the purposes below, and not for their own.
- Supabase — stores your planner and runs sign-in.
- Resend — delivers the sign-in and confirmation emails we send you.
- Stripe — processes payments. Stripe also keeps its own record of a payment, under its own policies, as the payment processor.
- Vercel — hosts the application.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of people using the service.
Getting a copy
In Settings, Export my data downloads everything in your planner as a file, immediately and without asking us: the person you care for, their routine, your contacts, schedule, notes, handovers and expenses, and a summary of any purchase. Downloading it changes nothing.
Deleting your information
In Settings, Delete my data removes your planner and everything in it, and removes your sign-in record. You do not need to ask us, and we cannot undo it afterwards.
Deletion is not reversible. Export a copy first if you want one, because we will not be able to recover it for you.
What deletion does not remove
We want to be straightforward about this rather than imply that every trace disappears.
- A limited payment record. If you bought the printable planner, we keep what the payment was, the amount, the currency, its status, when it happened, and the identifiers our payment processor uses to match it. It is separated from your planner information at the point of deletion and no longer linked to it.
- Backups. Our providers keep routine backups of their systems, and deleted information may persist in those backups for a period before it ages out in the ordinary course. It is not restored to the service.
- Records held by others. Stripe keeps its own record of a payment under its own policies, and support correspondence you sent us may remain in our email.
How long we keep things
Your planner is kept until you delete it. There is no automatic expiry, and we do not delete inactive planners on a timer — a caregiver who steps away for six months should find their planner where they left it.
Payment records are kept for as long as they are needed for the purposes they exist for: accounting for money received, handling refunds, chargebacks and disputes, and meeting tax and other legal obligations. Those periods are set by the obligation rather than chosen by us, which is why no fixed date is given here.
Security
Information is held with established providers, sent over encrypted connections, and separated so that one person’s planner is only reachable by that person’s own session. We review these arrangements as the product changes.
No service can promise perfect security, and we do not.
Anyone with access to your email account may be able to use a sign-in link to access your Caregiver Planner account. Keep your email account secure and do not forward sign-in links.
Making a privacy request
Export and deletion are both self-service, and are usually the fastest way to get what you want. For anything else — a question about what we hold, a correction, or a concern — write to support@caregiverplans.com from the address your planner is saved to, so we can tell it is you asking.
If your planner was never saved to an email address, we have no way to connect a request to it, which is why export and deletion are offered directly in the product instead. We do not charge for requests, and we do not treat you differently for making one.
California privacy rights
If you live in California, state law gives you rights over your personal information, including the right to know what is collected and why, to request a copy, to ask for correction or deletion, and not to be discriminated against for exercising them.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing for you to opt out of in those respects. The categories we collect, our purposes, and the providers involved are described in the sections above rather than repeated here.
To exercise a right, use Export or Delete in Settings, or write to support@caregiverplans.com. Nothing in this policy limits a right you have under applicable law, and where that law requires something different from what is written here, the law applies.
Children
Caregiver Planner is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it, and it is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 as a user of the service. If you believe a child has created a planner, write to support@caregiverplans.com and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when what we do changes. If a change is material — a new category of information, a new purpose, a new provider, or analytics being switched on — we will say so here and update the date at the top before the change takes effect, so you can read it and decide.
